The Mount Pleasant Community Association has been closely following the current situation related to the COVID-19 pandemic. With guidance from the Government of Alberta, and The City of Calgary, along with best practices of the Federation of Calgary Communities, and with careful consideration, the Mount Pleasant Community Association has postponed all events, programs and closed the Mount Pleasant Hall and Sportsplex. Today, we are also cancelling the 2020 Soccer Program. When the restrictions lift and when better weather is here, we will be looking to launch a soccer activity for kids and families over the summer, if possible. All those who have registered will be refunded the soccer program registration fee. The Mount Pleasant membership fee of $10.00 will not be refunded. Soccer refunds will be issued via PowerUp and will show up on your credit card. Please allow for 3-4 weeks for refunds to be processed. We had more that 315 children register this year and it may take some time to process all of the refunds.
The Mount Pleasant Community Association is also looking for ways in which to keep up our spirits, digitally or at a distance from each other. If you have an idea that you would like to lead or would like to volunteer, please get in touch by emailing president@mpca.ca. How ever you choose to help, it is nice to know that we are all in this together and that we as friends and neighbours will come together as a community to help each other
