Airdrie Festival of Lights & CPKC Holiday Train!
Friday, December 13, 2024
You asked and now it’s happening! Not only will you see the 13 light display areas of the Festival but it’s also the night that the lighted CPKC Holiday Train comes through. There will be live entertainment from 5:30 to 6:00 before you tour the lights. Volunteers will be collecting food and cash donations to support local food banks during the entertainment.
At the Airdrie Festival of Lights you can take one or both train rides around the displays to view them in comfort (dress warmly so it isn’t cold comfort!), enjoy some hot chocolate around a fire, and visit the gift shop for some great stocking stuffers. The trains and hot chocolate cost $2 each, just look for the concession and the train station. The majority of the pathways are paved and every effort is made to keep them clear of ice and snow. Just watch out for the trains! They use the same paths.
